Morningside/Lenox Park

Between Ansley Park and Druid Hills with Virginia-Highland to the south sits Morningside/Lenox Park. This picturesque neighborhood was founded in 1923 as a streetcar suburb of only 8 homes. Today more than 3,500 homes comprise the original subdivisions of Morningside, Lenox Park, University Park, Noble Park, and Johnson Estates. The community features beautiful, tree-lined streets with restored Craftsman, Four-Square, and Tudor-style homes and is coveted for its excellent public schools, walkability, and quite side streets. Morningside offers a popular nearby commercial district, with shops and restaurants, as well as the locally famous Alon's Bakery, a European-style bakery that has been open since 1992.
